No prospects of any damage due to the storm Sabala centered over Arabian Sea

Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that there are prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry in the next 24 hours.
As a cyclonic depression formed in the upper layers of atmosphere over Sri Lanka, and moving west, there are prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
During the last 24 hours, Papanasam has recorded a rainfall of 8 cm and Mahabalipuram has recorded a rainfall of 9 cm.
Chennai meteorological centre has announced that there are no dangers from the cyclone/storm Sabala centred over Arabian Sea. However, it informed that the storm Sabala is likely to transform into a very severe storm.
