Chennai Corporation to demolish 2300 dilapidated buildings

It has come to notice of the Chennai Corporation that 2300 old buildings which are under the purview of Corporation are to collapse.
Last year an oldest building in Triplicane crashed. In view of this, the Chennai Corporation employees started inspecting the old buildings which are in dilapidated stage. During this inspection it was found that there were ancient buildings in Parrys, Triplicane and Chepauk which were in very dilapidated stage. So the Chennai Corporation sent notices to the owners stating that their buildings will be demolished.
Meanwhile the public have requested the Chennai Corporation to safely demolish these building without any loss to anyone because the rain season is on the way.
