Heavy rains today in Southern parts of Tamil Nadu

Northwest Monsoon rains are expected on 20th October or may be even before the stipulated date. So in a weeks` time we can expect Northwest Monsoon.
At this juncture an official of the meteorological centre has mentioned that there have been rains in some parts of Tamil Nadu due to convectional activities. It was mentioned that Northwest Monsoon will commence in three days but there is no sign of it. Today (Tuesday) there will be heavy rains in Southern parts in Tamil Nadu and some parts of Northern Tamil Nadu. Tomorrow there will be heavy rains in Southern parts of Tamil Nadu.
