10 days rains fill the catchment areas to an extant

At a time when North West Monsoon rains are expected in 8 days, there have been rains every night due to convective activities. Apart from this South West Monsoon rains in Kerala are also bringing rains to some parts of Tamil Nadu.
Since there were rains for the last 10 days, the soil has become cool. As far as Chennai is concerned there have been rains from 1st. So we have got 8 centimetres rain.
Similarly there were rains in the catchment areas like Puzhal Lake and Chembarambakkam Lake, the water is slightly filling up. The water level is rising since 18 millimetres rain water has come to Puzhal lake. Similarly the water level in Chembarambakkam rose because 46 millimetres of rain water has flown in.
As of now there is stock of 64 million cubic feet water in Puzhal lake and in Chembarambakkam there is a stock of 249 million cubic feet water.
