12 years girl can open Selvamagal Semipu Account for a limited period

Sukanya Samriddhi Account or Selvamagal scheme, which was recently launched by the Department of Posts, is growing popular as one of the higher interest earning savings schemes.The scheme was launched exclusively for girl children. A parent or guardian can open an account in the name of the child.
Though the age limit for opening an account is set at 10 years, the age limit has been relaxed to 12 years. This relaxation will be available till 12th December. For further details contact 9445402822
