TNPSC to fill up Tourism Officer vacancies

TNPSC Chairman Balasubramaniam has mentioned that the Tamil Nadu Government has requested to fill up the vacancy of Tourism officer for the first time.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Chairman Balasubramaniam has mentioned, “ To fill up the 11 vacancies of District educational officer, TNPSC had conducted the preliminary examinations on 6th June 2014. 9773 applicants participated in this examination. Based on the marks and the rosters, 3,127 people were selected for the Mains Examinations. The list of the selected people were published in the TNPSC website www.tnpsc.gov.in The Main examinations will be held on 6th, 7th and 8th of August. Departments of Tamil Nadu Government are asking us to fill up the vacancies in their respected departments. Since we will not be able to fill up the vacancies directly without the Government orders, we ask the concerned departments to approach the Government. After the Government passes the orders, we will take up necessary action to fill up the vacancies. For the first time the Government has requested us to fill up the vacancies of Tourism Officer and Asst Tourism officer. There are 24 vacancies of Tourism officers. The Government has not mentioned about the vacancies of Asst Tourism officers. Once we get the vacancy position we will take up the recruitment process.”
