Power generation affected in Vallur Thermal Power Station-Shortfall 500 MW!

One unit of 500 MW has stopped functioning due to shortage of coal in Vallur Thermal Power Station.
Vallur Thermal Power station has 3 units each of 500 MW. Due to shortage of coal stock, the 2nd unit had to be stopped.
The power station officials explained that activities have been initiated to procure coal from the state of Orissa and once the coal stock is received, generation will resume to normal levels.
