Smart family cards to be distributed shortly: Minister Kamaraj!

State Food Minister, Mr. Kamaraj, informed that smart family ration cards would be distributed in a few months.
Consumer grievance camps are conducted on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
Complaints are being received from the consumers till 1.00 PM. If the required proofs/documents are attached with the complaint, it will be taken up immediately for enquiry and fresh family cards will be issued before 6.00 PM on the same day.
Officers have been instructed to receive applications for fresh family cards. They can issue new cards after verification.
Since the AIADMK government has distributed free mixies, grinders, etc, some families are keeping 2 or 3 cards. Now, the fake family cards are being identified and removed.
Smart cards are introduced as a step for removing fake family cards.
