5 kg cooking gas cylinder at subsidised price! Minister�s information!

Presently, 5 kg LPG cooking cylinders are available at subsidised price. In New Delhi, this is sold at Rs. 155/- per cylinder.
Until now, only 14.2 kg cylinders were available for domestic cooking use. The number of cylinders to be bought in a year is restricted to 12.
Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradahan informed in the Rajya Sabha that 5 kg LPG cooking gas cylinders are available now with the maximum of 34 cylinders per year. If extra 5 kg cylinder is required, it can be bought at the non-subsidised price of Rs. 351/- per cylinder.
Arrangements are being made through gas agencies to make 5 kg LPG cylinders available with them.
5 kg LPG cylinder will be available at select petrol bunks at Rs. 351/- per cylinder.
The minister expected that this arrangement would benefit the entire low income group.
