Sunlight and Water Might Be the Raw Material for Fuel

Researchers have found a modern method of creating fuel from water and sunlight. This is possible through replication of a major step in photosynthesis, which uses water and sunlight as its main raw material. A team of scientists and research students from school of Biology, Australian University has made this research and found out this photosynthesis method of creating fuel.
Their research is based on naturally occurring protein. Production of this fuel is cost effective because there are no batteries or expensive metals involved. Currently fuel exists as a non-renewable source of energy. However, it would be more profitable and exciting if hydrogen as a fuel is created from the most abundant and renewable sources of nature.
According to Professor Ron pace of this University, this is the first time in research using sunlight for producing fuel. When this becomes possible and practical, it will be really an affordable replacement for petrol and other carbon based fuels.
