Gautham Menon: ‘It was Ajith before Surya’

Actor Surya has stated several times that his role in ‘Kakha Kakha’ as Anbuselvan was only because of recommendation by Jyothika. In a recent interview, the director of the flick, Gautham Menon has revealed who his first choice for the character was. He pointed that Ajith was his first choice and he also thought of Virkam for the character. The director pointed that Ajith and himself were supposed to get signed for a movie before ‘Asal’ film came up, but things somehow got diverted.
When questioned him about ‘Thala 55’ whether it would have the ‘Ajith’ elements in it, showcasing his mass, the director gave a firm No as reply. Even if I prefer including commercial elements for him, he always denies them. I do not know commercializing things and I have never tried that in fact. And, I do not have any pressure to include commercial elements at all.
Audio launch of Thala 55 is likely to be scheduled for November and the flick may hit the big screen by end of this year.
