24x7 chest pain helpline launched by Vijaya Group of Hospitals

Vijaya Group of Hospitals launched a 24-hour chest pain service – the Vijaya Rapid Access Cardiac Evaluation – on Tuesday. People can call a helpline number – 044-66646623 – at any time and an ambulance along with a doctor and paramedical staff will immediately be dispatched to the residence.
After an initial assessment and emergency treatment including an ECG at the site, the patient will be taken to Vijaya Heart Foundation, Vadapalani.
There, a senior cardiac consultant, who will be available 24x7, will attend to the patient and decide what the most appropriate treatment is.
Cath lab services will also function round-the-clock to aid in therapy.
