TANGEDCO officially eagerly expecting/awaiting Kudankulam’ Nuclear Power!

With the current acute power shortage and the daily power cuts reemployed, TANGEDCO officials are eagerly expecting power from Kudankulam Atomic Power Station.
Total stoppage of power from the Wind resources and the shut-down of several thermal power units have created an acute shortage of power in Tamil Nadu. Hence, power cuts are back in all districts except Chennai city.
The wind season is also set to close. In order to avoid the compulsion of imposing more power cuts, TANGEDCO officials are eagerly expecting the power from Kudankulam Atomic power station.
An official from the Department of energy informed:
Kudankulam power was one of the main reasons for withdrawal of power cuts which were in force for the last 6 years. Kudankulam Atomic Power Station is set to start commercial power production. This will certainly help in overcoming the current power shortage.
