Chennaites get instant reports on water quality

Chennaites will be able to ascertain the quality of piped Metrowater without much hassle. Chennai Metrowater is set to launch mobile digital laboratories that will help monitor the water.
The mobile labs, fitted with modern equipment to test six parameters, including turbidity, residual chlorine and total dissolved solids, will visit localities across the city to test the water samples and provide results in a few minutes.
Any resident who wants to find out the quality of the water reaching her household will be able to approach the Metrowater engineers for help.
