Applications for GATE 2015: Should now be done on-line!

Applications for writing GATE-2015, the examination for joining post-graduate engineering courses, has now been changed over to entirely online.
The writing of the GATE exam had already been changed over to on-line mode. Now, the procedure for applications has also been converted to online mode.
The web site for applications for GATE will open on 1st September.
The last date for application will be 1st October.
Success in the GATE examination is essential to get the central government scholarships while pursuing post-graduate engineering course.
Many colleges admit only students who have successfully written GATE examinations for post-graduate engineering courses.
The IITs & IISC jointly conduct the GATE examinations every year.
GATE exams for the year 2015 will be conducted on 31st January, 1st, 7th, 8th, and 14th February.
Applications can be made only online.
Application fees maybe paid through credit cards, debit cards, net-banking, or e-challan.
The hall-tickets for GATE exams must be downloaded from the net. It would not be sent though post.
All the 22 tests will have to be written on-line through internet.
