PM Narendra Modi’s daring order: No need for green signatures on certificates/proofs!

In order to reduce the hardships like travelling and extra expenses of the public, the central government has announced that the proofs & certificates need not bear any attestation by public notaries, gazetted officers, etc.
This order has been issues to all ministries of the central government, departments, and all state governments. They have been advised to set the new guidelines accordingly.
The prime minister emphasised this during his meeting with all central secretaries. This is being implemented immediately.
Mr. Modi expressed that this measure will relieve the public from various hardships like travelling and expenses. Currently, it is compulsory to provide either declarations or copies of certificates/other proof signed by public notaries or gazetted officers.
With this order, it would suffice to produce the copies of the original documents. If false documents are given, legal action will be taken. However, the public need to show the originals in the final stage of the process.
