National beach volleyball

Velammal-National beach volleyball championship for men and women will be held at Marina Beach (behind Anna swimming pool) here from July 25 to 27.
Thirty teams in men and 25 in women from 13 states including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Orissa among others will be participating.
The winning pair, in all probability, will be selected for the Asian Games scheduled in September. Former National champion Mohan will be taking part as a wild card entry.
