Auto wardens to monitor the operations of the autorickshaws

It has been decided to have drivers who have been following the rules appointed as wardens to monitor the operations of the autorickshaws in their area. The ‘auto wardens’ will be given special training and can be recognised by badges that will be issued to them. The police have also appointed the four deputy commissioners of traffic as grievance redressal officers for the drivers. With regard to the formation of the tripartite committee to fix fares and the installation of GPS meter, the unions will be meeting with the transport department
