Onam rush: Train tickets sold out

Tickets on trains to Kerala cities were sold out minutes after bookings opened for travel on September 5, the beginning of the Onam holiday.
Reservation status of trains like Chennai-Trivandrum Mail, Trivandrum Express, Alleppey Express, Chennai-Mangalore Mail and Express reached the waiting list soon after bookings started. The demand was high for tickets to Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Alapuzha and Kozhikode. The situation is similar with train tickets for other cities too.
