Probability of Rainfall Today, in TamilNadu and Pondicherry!

Owing to heat convection, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry have been receiving rainfall in recent days.

According to the 24 hours rainfall volume-size ratio measured in Tamil Nadu till morning 8.30 AM yesterday:

Karaikal receives a maximum rainfall of about 9 cm; while Thanjavur and Tiruvidaimaruthur endures 8 cm rainfall; Sivagangai from Sivagangai district and Valangaimann from Ariyalur district undergone 6 cm rainfall each.

In the same way, places like Kollidam and Kudavasal receives 5 cm rainfall each. Also Thirumannur, Neyveli, Nagaipatinam, Thirmangalam, Namakal, Periyakulam, Arani, Nanilam experiences 3 cm rainfall each. Likewise Thanjavur district, Papanasam, Cheiyar, Sirkazhi, Mayiladurai, Needamangalam, Tharangampadi, Sethiyathoope, Chidambaram, Thiruvarur, Dindivanam, and Marakanam receives 2cm rainfall each respectively. 

At this stage, both Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will be receiving rainfall today in few places, stated Stella, director of Regional Meteorological research centre.

Chennai seems to be a little bit cloudy and there is a possibility of either rainfall or thundershowers in few areas, says Regional Meteorological centre.
