Metro tunnel from Pachaiyappas to Kilpauk complete

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd has completed tunneling between Kilpauk and Pachaiyappa`s College on Poonamallee High Road. The machine built a 898metre-long tunnel. It will continue tunnelling from Kilpauk to Nehru Park.
Tunneling is progressing rapidly underneath Poonamallee High Road as metro rail is planning to open the first underground section from Shenoy Nagar to Koyambedu by next year.
