Two Panchayats, Acharapakkam & Nandhivaram Accelerated with ISO certification

Two Panchayats in Kancheepuram district of TamilNadu namely Acharapakkam and Nandhivaram town, receives ISO certification.

The Acharapakkam Panchayat acknowledged ISO 14001:2004 certification for the preeminent run through in handling the collection and separation of solid waste. Similarly Nandhivaram obtained ISO 9001:2008 certifications for affording superlative infrastructure amenitities and upholding of Nandhivaram to Guduvanchery bus stand.

Following to the appraisal accomplished on 30 April, the Acharapakkam town Panchayat has been established to be operating an ecological managing system that fulfills with the needs of the ISO certification, said Mr. Sanjay Seth, managing director of BSCIC certifications. 

This ISO certification will expire by 9 May, 2017; well before the expiry period two consecutive audits will be carry out on 30 April 2015 and 2016, he added. 

In the same way, Nandhivaram ISO certification will expire on 18, February, 2017; and two surveillance audit will be carried out during 3 February, 2015 and 2016, said chief of the certification.

During 2011, the Tiruporur town Panchayat was rewarded with ISO 9001:2008 certification for stipulating public utility overhauls.

The National Ecological and Educational Development (NEED) Trust dispatched a request for the ISO certification for the town Panchayat after considering several proposals implemented by the local groups in framing basic facilities for the town residents and also for the pilgrim’s stopover at the Sri Kandasamy shrine.
