Vyasarpadi Overbridge construction almost complete

The Highways department has planned to complete the construction of Vyasarpadi over bridge before the onset of North-east monsoon and declare it open for the public.
The Chennai – Kolkata highway links parts of North Chennai with Thiruvallur district. Vyasarpadi railway track crosses this road.
The existing underground rail track gets inundated during rainy season and also the height provided for the underground track is very low. Hence, the project to construct an over bridge was undertaken.
The over bridge is almost completed. The highway officials are expediting the same and would open it for public use before the onset of North-east monsoon.
