‘Vaikasi Viskha’ festival at Lord Subramanyaswami Temple – Thiruchendur

‘Vaikasi Visakha’ is among the most important festivals followed in Thiruchendur Lord Subramanyaswami temple.
Traditional belief is that devotees who worship the Lord on Vaikasi Visakha day will get the benefit of those who had darshans throughout the year on every Friday!
This traditional and ancient festival falls today.
On the occasion of the ‘Vaikasi Visakha’ festival. Special poojas are scheduled to be performed at the very very early morning at 1.00 AM. The sanctum corridors will be open at that time and special prayer withdeeparadhanai (with lamps) will be performed to have the ‘Vishwaroopa’ drashan of Lord Subramanyaswami.
The pooja schedule:
- 2.00 AM – Udhaya Marthanda Abhishekham
- 2.30 AM – Deeparadhanai (Darshan with lamps)
- 9.00 AM – Uchikala Abhishekham
- 4.00 PM – Sayaratchai Deeparadhanai
On 10th & 12th June, the sanctum corridors will be open by 4.00 AM.
