Applications for Medical Courses to be distributed from 14th May

Application forms for joining medical courses will be distributed from 14th May.
The medical Education Directorate has announced that the last date for receipt of applications will be 2nd June.
There are 19 government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. 2,555 seats are to be filled. There is a reservation for All India Quota for 383 seats.
The balance 2,172 seats are open for admission.
There are 12 private medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. 1,560 seats are available. There is a management quota for 646 seats.
The balance 914 seats are open for government reservations.
The state quota for admission in B D S Course from Tamil Nadu Dental college is 85.
There are also 909 seats allotted for the government from the 18 self-financed dental colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The admissions for the academic year 2014-15 are set to start early.
The applications for these medical courses will be distributed from 14th May. The application and other course details will be available at all 19 government medical colleges including Madras Medical College, Stanley Medical College, Kilpauk Medical College, and Chennai Government Dental College.
The distribution will be done during the period from 14th May to 30th May.
They will be available on all week days (except Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
Those interested in applying on-line, can apply though the websites - www.tnhealth.org OR www.tn.gov.in. They can download the application and use.
One application will be sufficient for applying in either medical course or dental course.
Applications duly filled must be submitted before 5.00 PM on 2nd June.
Application form will cost Rs. 500/-. Students who belong to SC, ST, Arundhathiyars, and tribal communities are exempted from this fee.
The duly filled applications can be submitted in person or by post.
