Corpulent Parking Slot at Central- Swallowed up by Metro Rail
Parking has been terrible at Chennai Central, says a commuter at central who faced struggle in getting parking slot for his vehicle amid call taxis and tourist staffs.
With the maximum parking space being employed for Metro Rail drive, travelers are finding it hard even to arrive at central by call taxis.

A commuter named Saravanan from Coimbatore train says that he needs to walk for a long distance carrying the baggage along with his family to catch a taxi.
A Railway Protection Force (RPF) policeman, who supervises railway station traffic, says 70 % of the parking slot has been engaged by call taxis, whilst private cars have admission only to 30 % of the space.
Action will be taken on commuters who park their vehicles for long hours making traffic congestion, he added. Probably, the Metro Rail work will be completed only by the end of 2016.
Till then, there is no breathing space either for people who depend on taxis, or for those who reach the station by their own vehicles.
