Banks and Corporates Conjointly Involved in Park Maintenance!
The Chennai Corporation drafts a sketch to cord in many nationalized banks, IT organizations and International corporations to assist in maintaining selective parks and piazza proviso lands in the city as part of a `parks Enhancement’ propaganda.
We inscribed a detailed report to the banks and companies twice in
December and in February with the inclusive of the list of 260 parks, says
corporation official. Later this count of parks has mounted to 324 parks, after
appending the parks in the outlying areas.
Initially, Indian Bank, Apollo Tyres and Reliance Foundation have articulated
their curiosity and they told they will move towards the MoU, after the
decision of the list of parks taken up by their senior authoritative.
As a pilot plant, we are planned to implement the drip irrigation
methodology instead of the manual watering in the green patch alongside of the
mean of the Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, officials said.
This drip irrigation has been planned for the watering sources in all
parks, so as to guarantee the optimal usage of water. This plan will be in
implementation, once the poll results are out.
Many roads have been put aside with concrete and the workers chunk debris alongside the medians. All these debris needs to be removed to furnish the green patches. Nearly 100 more parks are probable to arrive at OSR lands.
