Effect of scorching summer – SSLC exams to start half-an-hour earlier than scheduled!!

+2 examinations commenced in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry on 3rd march.8,00,000 students wrote the exams which got completed on 25th March.

SSLC exams are set to start on 26th march and will end on 9th April.

11,00,000 students are writing 10th standard Board exams. Usually, 10th standard exams start at 9.45 AM & end at 12.30 PM. However, this year, the 10th Standard exams are set to start half-an-hour earlier. This advance extent is because of the severity of summer. This step will relieve the students from the scorching sun to a certain extent.

This year, the exams will start by 9.15 AM (instead of the usual 10 AM). 10 minutes are allotted for reading the question paper.

5 minutes are allotted for filling up the details such as the student registration number, etc. The exam start at 9.30 AM and will by 12.00 Noon.Students can return to their houses before 1 PM.

This will be beneficial to the students and will relieve the strain of severe summer to a certain extent.61,009 students are writing 10th standard exams in Chennai district. 57,171 write through their schools with 27,994 boys and 29,177 girls. 3,196 candidates write on private and 645 on tatkal basis.

Exams are being conducted in 208 centres. Exam papers are taken with police security to the exam centres.

A flying squad of 415 persons has been formed to monitor these centres to check on any malpractices or offences.208 Chief examiners and 208 Assistant examiners have been deployed.
