The State Government of Tamil Nadu has planned to reopen the schools from 1st October.
The State Government is planning in terms of reopening the schools in the 1st Phase only for the students from 9th to 12th Standard, that too, with stringent guidelines to be observed against the raging coronavirus pandemic.
As per the emphasis exerted by the central government, activities to further relax the conditions leading to almost normal routine is being expedited by unlocking the lockdown imposition completely.
Public transport has commenced operating. Devotees are allowed to enter and pray in temples and other religious locations. Gyms and Physical Exercise Centres are open.
In order to prevent the spread affecting young children, the reopening of the schools and colleges has been kept postponed!
Presently, the guidelines to be strictly followed on reopening of schools are under preparation. In the 1st Phase, classes can be conducted on a part-time basis for the classes from 9th to 12th Standards. As per the explanations furnished by the central human welfare ministry, explanations/teaching can also be done on the lessons in the subjects.
The Central Government has announced that students of classes from 9th to 12th Standards can be permitted to attend schools with detailed guidelines.
The Education Department of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has planned to commence part-time classes for the students from 9th to 12th Standards.
In this regard, the Directorate of School Education and the Commission�s officials are earnestly preparing detailed guidelines. Seating the students based on the social distancing aspect and for them to wear the face masks and regularly wash their hands.
Detailed guidelines are under preparation for following during the practical classes in the laboratories.
The3 reliable circles in the authority inform that once there are prepared, approval will be obtained from the Chief Minister and then the permission from the State Government Department of Health to allow the students to attend schools.
Even as the present conditions are that classes are yet to be started, the Department of School Education has declared details on quarterly examination vacation.
A notification released by the School Education Commissioner C G Thomas Vaidyan mentions:
With the abnormal prevailing conditions due to the raging coronavirus pandemicic, �online� classes are being conducted in the schools in Tamil Nadu. Guidelines have been given for the online classes from 29th July.
All schools MUST follow this STRICTLY.
All schools must strictly follow the guidelines given by the Tamil Nadu State Government Education Department in order to reduce the mental stress incurred by the students while attending online classes!
