Traffic Diversions Implemented on OMR Due to Chennai Metro and Water Works at Kumaran Nagar Junction!
Due to the ongoing works by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) and Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Services Board (CMWSSB) at the Kumaran Nagar junction on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), the Tambaram city police have announced traffic diversions on OMR until the completion of the projects.
According to the official release:
• Vehicles traveling towards Navalur and Kelambakkam from the Sholinganallur junction can proceed as usual.
• Vehicles intending to go towards Nookampalayam Road and the Tsunami Quarters in Semmencherry need to take a U-turn at the Sathyabama junction and then take a left at the Kumaran Nagar junction.
• Vehicles from the Tsunami Quarters and Nookampalayam Road heading towards Kelambakkam should take a left at the Kumaran Nagar junction, make a U-turn 150 meters away, and then proceed towards Navalur and Kelambakkam.
• Vehicles from Thiruvalluvar Salai should take a left to reach Navalur, then make a U-turn at the Sathyabama junction to reach the Tsunami Quarters and Sholinganallur.
• Vehicles coming from Navalur and intending to go towards Thiruvalluvar Salai should take a U-turn after the Kumaran Nagar junction to reach their destination.
These diversions are in effect until the completion of the ongoing works.
