The water storage in Chennai`s five major drinking water reservoirs has dropped to 49.99% due to the absence of fresh inflow. The city`s primary reservoirs Chembarambakkam, Puzhal, Poondi, Cholavaram, and Kannankottai currently hold 5.878 TMC of water against their combined storage capacity of 11.757 TMC.
With inflow remaining low, officials continue to closely monitor the water levels to ensure an uninterrupted drinking water supply for Chennai residents.
