Chennai MTC Apprenticeship 2026: Applications Invited from Graduates and Diploma Holders

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), Chennai, has invited applications from eligible engineering graduates, diploma holders, and arts, science and commerce graduates for a one-year apprenticeship training programme.

According to a notification issued by MTC Managing Director K. Mohan, eligible candidates from Tamil Nadu can submit their applications on or before August 28, 2026.

Who Is Eligible for MTC Apprenticeship 2026?

Engineering graduates and diploma holders from selected technical disciplines are eligible to apply. These include Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Technology.

Candidates who have completed undergraduate degrees such as B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.A. and B.C.A. in arts, science and commerce streams are also eligible for the apprenticeship programme.

Eligible Passing Years

Candidates from Tamil Nadu who completed their studies in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible to apply, subject to the prescribed requirements.

Interested candidates must register through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and complete the application process by August 28, 2026.
