TODAY, 27th May, merit list to be released for admission to TN arts & sciences colleges!!
Today, 27th of May, the merit list for admission into arts and sciences colleges in Tamil Nadu would be released. This was according to a senior official from the Directorate of Collegiate Education. The formalities for admission (by enrolling for various courses) have been completed by about 2.11 lakh students now .
It was mentioned by the senior officer that 258527 students have registered and around 211010 students have completed their formalities by paying registration fees etc. About 58650 students got enrolled on the last day.
Pont is that the number of students who have completed their registration process would be taken into consideration for the merit list. The Higher Education Department is having plans to increase the number of seats by 20percent as more applications have been received.
It must be noted that 1.07 lakh seats would be available in the government, government-aided and self financing colleges in TN. From 28th of May to 30th of May, counselling for the students under the special reservation category would take place. From 10th to 15th of June, first round counselling for the general category students would be held. From 24th to 29th June, second round counselling would be held. On 3rd of July, arts and sciences colleges for the first year students would open.
