Tamil Nadu Class 8 Public Exam 2026: Private Candidates Can Apply Online from July 1

The Tamil Nadu Class 8 Public Examination 2026 for private candidates will be conducted in August. Eligible candidates who complete 12½ years of age as of August 1, 2026, can register online through designated service centres listed on the official website from July 1 to July 8, 2026.

The examination fee is ₹125, while the online registration fee is ₹70, making the total payable amount ₹195. Candidates who miss the regular registration period can apply under the Tatkal scheme on July 9 and 10 by paying an additional ₹500.

According to the schedule, the exams will be held from August 17 to August 21, 2026, covering Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science subjects.
