The rules and regulations for the functioning of the private nursery schools and the Matriculation Schools have been changed after a gap of 50 years! Changes have been made in the system of admissions and approved procedures!
For the `Play Schools`, Rs. 50000/- must be paid as a deposit, For nursery and primary schools, it is Rs. 100000/-. For middle-level schools, the deposit is Rs. 200000/-. For Higher Secondary Schools, the deposit is Rs. 300000/-.
Further, a fee has to be paid for obtaining approval for the scrutiny of the school`s functioning.
The Syllabus followed MUST STRICTLY adhere. NO DEVIATION IS ALLOWED. TEXTBOOKS APPROVED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU MUST BE USED!
For school admission for playschool, the child MUST BE MINIMUM 2 YEARS` OLD. FOR LKG, MINIMUM 30 YEARS OLD, FOR UKG, MINIMUM 4 YEARS OLD, AND FOR 1ST STANDARD, THE CHILD MUST BE MINIMUM 5 YEARS OLD! Age must be counted on the basis of as of 31st July of the relevant Academic Year.
The students from any approved school, with the transfer certificate, can be admitted to the new school at any time of the academic year.
NOTE THAT EXCEPT FOR THE MINORITY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, ALL OTHER SCHOOLS MUST FOLLOW THE RESERVATION QUOTES PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSIONS!
Each school must have a council of teachers and school staff. The list of the members for this council MUST be submitted to the District Education Office. This council will be responsible for creating the guidelines for admissions, conducting examinations, etc.
Training for teachers:
The teachers of the private schools MUST also participate in training given to the teachers of the Government Schools.
A Service Committee of teachers/ parents and the staff presided by the School Headmaster/Principal MUST be formed. NOTE THAT NO VIOLENT PUNISHMENTS SUCH AS INJURY MUST BE ADMINISTERED TO THE STUDENTS!
In case certain teachers are found to have indulged in criminal activities, they must be removed from their jobs!

Private Schools: Pre-KG – 15, LKG-5th Standard – 30, 6th to 8th Standard – 35, 9th to 12th (+2) – 40.
Ban on special coaching
NO ADMISSION CAN BE DONE BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE EXAMINATION RESULTS IN ANY SCHOOL. STUDENTS WHO HAD NOT DONE WELL ACADEMICALLY MUST NOT BE DISCOURAGED FROM WRITING EXAMINATIONS! STUDENTS WITH INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE RECORDS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO WRITE EXAMINATIONS!
NO COMPULSION BE MADE TO JOIN ANY SPECIAL COACHING CLASSES. CLASSES MUST BE CONDUCTED FOR THE +1 & +2 STUDENTS FOR THE APPROVED SUBJECTS ONLY!
THE ANNUAL EXAMINATIONS MUST BE CONDUCTED IN A TRANSPARENT MANNER STRICTLY FOLLOWING THE RELEVANT RULES AND REGULATIONS!
