Hereafter, the school students need not have any fear of getting sexually harassed in the online classes in TN!!
It is now revealed that the government of TN had decided to monitor the WhatsApp groups created by the teachers to connect students. Recently, the government had issued guidelines for the online classes in TN after there were many complaints from the school students regarding sexual harassment in the online classes. The TN government has asked the schools to record all the online classes.
Now, the school education department has decided to monitor messages on WhatsApp groups created by the teachers in the government as well in the government aided institutions to connect students of classes 9 to 12 in TN.
As per a senior official belonging to the school education department, the TN government has decided to give online assignments to the students with 1 teacher in-charge of 10 students.
He explained that the assignment on WhatsApp would be useful for the students and unwanted messages or pictures must be avoided. The senior officer then threw light on how the headmasters would also be included in the groups to provide instructions to the teachers and students to avoid WhatsApp for sending unwanted messages, photos, videos etc.
