After experiencing intense summer heat over the past few weeks, several parts of Tamil Nadu have started receiving rainfall, bringing relief from soaring temperatures. The recent showers have led to a noticeable change in weather conditions across the state.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), a low-pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal due to an upper air cyclonic circulation prevailing over the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Sri Lanka region.

Weather officials stated that the low-pressure system is likely to strengthen further into a well-marked low-pressure area, increasing the chances of widespread rainfall across Tamil Nadu in the coming days.
