Tamil Nadu Sports Hostel Admission 2026–27: Apply Online Before May 6
The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu has opened applications for Sports Hostel Admission 2026–27 across Tamil Nadu. The hostels provide scientific sports training, free accommodation, and nutritious food to help students excel in athletics and games.
Students studying in Classes 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 can apply online only through the official website. The last date to apply is May 6, 2026 (6 PM).
Selection Process
District-level selection trials will be held on:
May 7, 2026 (7 AM): Boys
May 8, 2026 (7 AM): Girls
Sports include athletics, basketball, football, hockey, kabaddi, handball, volleyball, and cricket (boys). Candidates who perform well will qualify for state-level selection.
Direct state-level trials for selected sports will be conducted on May 12, 2026 at various venues, including Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and other district sports complexes.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium – Fencing, Judo, Boxing (Boys)
Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai – Boxing (Girls), Squash
Thanjavur – Weightlifting
Tiruchirappalli – Wushu
Velachery (Chennai) – Swimming
Cuddalore – Wrestling
Krishnagiri – Taekwondo
Villupuram – Mallakhamb

- No travel or accommodation allowance will be provided
