As Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2) falls on a public holiday, Chennai suburban train services will operate with a reduced schedule, similar to regular Sunday operations.
According to railway sources, services on key routes such as:

- Chennai Central – Arakkonam

- Chennai – Sullurpeta
will run at 30% reduced frequency, following the standard Sunday timetable.
