India needs 6 Lakh Chartered Accountants!

Southern Regional President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr. P R Aruloli informed that India currently needs 6 Lakh Chartered Accountants.

42nd South India Chartered Accountants Conference is scheduled to be conducted on behalf of the South Region Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at Mahabalipuram on 22nd & 23rd August.

The priority aim of this conference is to promote C A (Chartered Accountancy) Course.

10000 to 15000 students are expected to participate in this conference. They would be counselled on the various aspects of studying CA.

It has been planned to set up a long 66 km stretch of banners from Mahabalipuram Junction Road to Chengalpet Road. An area of 10 acres has been selected. Currently, there is a huge demand for Chartered Accountants.

At present, there are 2.5 Lakh Chartered Accountants in India. But the demand is 6 Lakh Chartered Accountants.

It is expected that there would be 6 Lakh Chartered Accountants.

Rs. 50000/- is the estimated cost of doing the 3.5 years CA Course.

However, there is every possibility of recovering this from the 1st month salary itself.

Awareness about the positive aspects of CA course would be created on this aspect during the conference.

A candidate who completes Chartered Accountancy (CA) can join the Ph. D. Course offered in 96 Universities in India.
