Tamil Nadu Police Transfers 162 Technical Sub-Inspectors Across Various Departments
The Tamil Nadu Police has transferred 162 Technical Sub-Inspectors (SIs) serving in different police units across the state as part of administrative restructuring and based on individual requests from officers.
The transfer orders were issued by Jeyalakshmi, DIG of the Technical Services Wing. Officials stated that many of the officers had been serving in the same department for more than three years, prompting the reshuffle for administrative convenience and departmental requirements.
Major Transfers Announced
Among the key transfers:
- Bala Athma Nesar from the CBCID Technical Wing has been transferred to the Anti-Terrorism Squad in Chennai.
- Irfan Ayaz, who served in the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Authority, has also been posted to the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
- Robert Bruce from the Economic Offences Wing has been shifted to the Anti-Terrorism Division.
- Kalaichelvi from the Tamil Nadu 3rd Battalion at Veerapuram has been transferred to the Avadi City Police.
- Bhaskar from Chennai East Zone has been moved to Chennai North Zone.
- Nagarajan from the Police Headquarters Maintenance Division has been reassigned to the Technical Wing.
- Akilan from the Anti-Terrorism Prevention Wing has been transferred to the Women and Child Crime Prevention Unit.
- Vimala from the State Crime Records Bureau has been posted to Chennai West Zone.
Additionally, Kanin from the Technical Wing in Vepery has been moved to the Intelligence Division, while Dinesh Chandar and Rajarajan from the Coastal Security Group have been transferred to the SPCID division.
Officials confirmed that the transfers cover officers working in technical divisions across multiple districts in Tamil Nadu. The reshuffle is expected to strengthen operational efficiency and improve coordination across specialised police units.
