Over 42,000 Students Apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Counselling in 5 Days
More than 42,156 students have registered within the first five days for the Tamil Nadu engineering admissions counselling for BE and BTech courses under the government quota for the current academic year.
According to the Directorate of Technical Education, the online application process began on May 3 for admissions to:
- Government engineering colleges
- Government-aided engineering colleges
- Government engineering universities
- Self-financing engineering colleges
The highest number of registrations was recorded on May 4, with 11,345 applications submitted in a single day.
Officials also stated that:
- 10,423 students have completed fee payments
- 3,352 students have uploaded their certificates and required documents
The counselling process is being conducted entirely through the online admission portal.
