As per the policy introduced in the 2011–2012 academic year, practical exams for Science are mandatory for SSLC students in Tamil Nadu.

For the Science subject:
75 marks - Theory Examination
25 marks - Practical Examination

Instructions to Schools
- School headmasters have been instructed to:
- Download blank mark sheets and attendance registers online
- Conduct practical exams between the scheduled dates
- Record and upload students’ marks as per official guidelines
