Special Trains Announced for Sabarimala Festival to Manage Increased Traffic
In anticipation of the surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming Sabarimala festival, authorities have announced the operation of special trains in the Chennai Egmore - Kottayam sector.
The special trains, numbered 06117/06118, will provide essential transportation for devotees and travelers during the festive period. Train No. 06117, departing from Chennai Egmore at 22:45 hrs on specified Mondays, will reach Kottayam at 13:10 hrs the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 06118 will leave Kottayam at 19:00 hrs on specified Tuesdays, arriving at Chennai Egmore at 10:30 hrs the following day.
The coach composition includes 2 AC First Class cum AC Two Tier Coaches, 9 Sleeper Class Coaches, 5 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Second Class Coaches (Divyangjan Friendly).
