Air India Extends Cancellation of Middle East Flights Until March 13
Flights operated by Air India to several Middle East countries have been temporarily cancelled and the suspension has now been extended until March 13.
The airline announced that the decision was taken due to the closure of airspace in parts of the Iran and nearby Gulf region following military tensions involving the United States and Israel. Because of the airspace restrictions, many international airlines have temporarily suspended flights operating through the region.
According to Air India, several international services that normally pass through Middle Eastern airspace have been cancelled since February 28, and the suspension has now been extended from March 10 to March 13.
Passengers who had booked tickets on the affected flights will be allowed to reschedule their travel without additional charges or cancel their bookings for a full refund.
