Rural Employment Days Halve in First Month of VB G-RAM G Scheme
Chennai: Rural employment days have nearly halved in the first month after the introduction of the VB G-RAM G scheme.
In July, only 7.67 crore employment days were recorded under the VB G-RAM G scheme. In the same month last year, 15.33 crore employment days were recorded under the 100-day employment scheme.
Accordingly, rural employment days declined by 49.94% in July 2026 compared with July 2025.
