LIC Jeevan Arogya Plan 904 was a non-linked health insurance plan that offered fixed financial benefits for hospitalisation, surgeries and certain medical treatments. The plan was withdrawn on October 1, 2020, and is no longer available for new purchases.

Policyholders could choose a daily hospital cash benefit of ₹1,000, ₹2,000, ₹3,000 or ₹4,000, with the Major Surgical Benefit generally equal to 100 times the selected daily benefit.

Eligibility

The plan allowed coverage for the principal insured, spouse, children, parents and parents-in-law under a single policy. Adult members could generally remain covered up to 80 years, while children were covered up to 25 years, subject to policy terms.

Premium & Waiting Period

Premiums could be paid yearly or half-yearly and depended on factors such as age, gender and the selected coverage amount.

There was a 90-day waiting period for illness-related claims, while accidental hospitalisation was covered without this waiting period. Certain listed illnesses were subject to a 2-year waiting period.

Important Note

The basic plan did not offer maturity benefits, surrender value or policy loans. Optional riders such as the LIC New Term Assurance Rider and Accident Benefit Rider were available for additional protection.
