NHAI Launches Digital Toll Pass for Residents Living Within 20 km of Toll Plazas

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced a digital local toll pass for people living within a 20 km radius of toll plazas. Eligible users can now purchase the pass through the RajmargYatra mobile app, allowing unlimited travel through the respective toll plaza for one month.

Earlier, commuters had to visit the toll plaza in person and submit supporting documents to obtain a local pass. With the new digital system, the entire process can now be completed online within minutes.

The first digital local toll pass has been launched at the Mundka-Bakkarwala Toll Plaza in Delhi and will be expanded to other toll plazas across the country in the coming months.

The app is integrated with government digital platforms such as DigiLocker and VAHAN, enabling it to automatically verify the user`s address, vehicle registration details, and linked FASTag information, making the application process faster and more convenient.
