A new spell of heavy rainfall is expected to hit Chennai and nearby areas tonight, with the peak activity predicted from late night to early morning. According to the Tamil Nadu Weatherman, the low-pressure system is forming very close to the North Tamil Nadu coast and will influence rainfall patterns across the region.
Districts from Peacockdance sir area to Chennai are expected to become hotspots for heavy rains. Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur may experience a reduction in rainfall later tonight as the low moves northward above the Nagai latitude.
Residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions. “Pa group in KTCC - keep a close watch. There is a chance for your wishes, but it all depends on tomorrow morning’s rains,” the Weatherman added.
