Redmi Note 17 5G India Launch on August 6: Expected Features, Battery and Price

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the India launch date of its upcoming Redmi Note 17 5G smartphone. The highly anticipated device is set to debut in the Indian market on August 6, 2026, following its earlier launch in China.

Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has created a dedicated microsite for the smartphone, teasing it as the "mAhster Edition," highlighting its massive battery capacity as one of its biggest selling points.

According to the official teaser, the Redmi Note 17 5G will feature a large 8,000mAh battery, making it one of the biggest battery smartphones in its segment. The device is also expected to sport a 7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother viewing experience.

In terms of design, the smartphone is expected to feature a textured rear panel along with a circular camera module. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm`s Snapdragon Gen 4 processor, offering improved performance and efficiency.

For photography, the Redmi Note 17 5G is expected to include a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi Note 17 5G will officially launch in India on August 6, while sales are expected to begin in the middle of August.

The smartphone will be available through Amazon India, the official Xiaomi website, and authorised offline retail stores across the country.
